unmaintained blog is unmaintained (and stories about school spirit).

Hello. I’ve been planning to shift blogs for such periods of time—but I just can’t leave my Google account behind, nor delete this blog. Plus, there are many memories I’ve written for the past four years—some are good, while others are bittersweet (refer to my so-called emotive posts, hahaha).
Meanwhile, I’m currently working on a little project that has something to do with school spirit. Collegiate basketball is currently in heat this season, and I’ve always been proud to say that I’m a supporter of the Growling Tigers. Being an alumna of a school that bleeds black and gold (and sometimes, shows off some black and gold stripes), I’m not afraid to cheer out loud, “GO, USTe!”
Since 2007, I’ve always been an avid supporter of their games. Win or lose, I feel proud for these guys since what really matters here is how they enjoyed the game. ‘Ika nga, “kailangan may pride at puso sa paglalaro.” Yet, the UAAP tournament isn’t just about men’s basketball; there are a lot of sporting events such as volleyball, chess, badminton, swimming, and others. For that, I can say that school spirit isn’t limited to one game alone; it should also represent the identity of the school.
Oh, well. Here’s my rendition of the UST Growling Tigers, which can be also viewed in my doodle blog by clicking the photo.
Well, this is all I can say for the moment. Have a good night, guys. :)
P.S. For those who are supporting the UST Growling Tigers men's basketball team, they have already won six out of seven games as of August 19. Their next game will be on Thursday, August 23, 4pm—and they'll be fighting against FEU Tamaraws for the second time this season.

I define uncertainty…for the nth time.

A week ago, I stumbled across an account of a long-lost friend of mine, who was once my classmate in a certain class back in my freshman year. But it seemed like this person doesn’t remember me at all…not even a bit of it, I guess.
So, it’s been less than four years since we last saw each other, and the last time we made contact via text. We used to grin like idiots when we talked of random stuff—ranging from plates to anime and whatever stuff—at Pavilion 2. We’ve rarely seen each other a few times back then (in fact, mabibilang mo sa daliri kung ilang beses siyang pumasok sa klase na ‘yun)—but this person really was one of the dudes who made my freshman life—and college life—exciting. Too bad he went somewhere else before I embarked on my journey as a sophie. OH, WELL~ :(
But then again, I was thankful to have known him for at least seven (or eight?) months. I’d been very grateful that he was one of my awesome friends back in my freshman year—and for that, college life has never been that amazing. Maybe the years have passed and people (like him) have changed, but memories of our friendship will stay forever.
The reason why I kind of felt uncertain upon sending that person a friend request—it’s the fact on whether he remembers me or not. But then again, life has to go on. And sometimes, we have to lose some in order to gain some in the process.
So, I just thought of reposting my poem I wrote back in January 2009. I know, I’ve already reposted this back in November 2009—but this time around, I hope today’s post will be the last I’ll write about him.

We’re back to where we started—
Two strangers sitting side by side on a bench
We have nothing to talk about,
Nothing to think about…
We’re just staring blankly at each other
Not knowing what we could do.

We may be friends then
Yet, you seem to forget about me—
All those laughter and tears we shared…
It just blew away like the wind.

I guess we have to start from scratch—
again.

…and after that, I’m on my way to believing. HAHAHA—I guess Hayley Williams sang the line right, years after I last made contact with him. Back then, when we were still schoolmates, Paramore’s “Decode” and “I Caught Myself” would be playing in my head, reminding me of indescribable feelings I had whenever I saw him in the campus. But should we meet again someday, I really hope he would remember me—even just as a former classmate of his. (Cue The Script’s “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved” here. Na-miss ko lang kasi ang kalokohan niya—I swear!)
Anyhow, it’s raining so hard inside—and I’m feeling bored today. I just hope there are no brownouts—and pray to God that we wouldn’t be swept away by the flood (like Ondoy did a few years back). CHEERS. :)
P.S. Bumalik na naman ako sa pagiging college froshie—even though I’m part of the workforce for less than two months already. HAHAHA—but it doesn’t hurt to remember good memories sometimes, right? :P

a month of unemployed life.

It’s been over a month since I left college, and everyone is expecting me to be conquering the concrete jungles these days. But here I am, still in search for an office job. Oh, well.
So, I’m kind of enjoying the bum life this summer—but because of a part-time job, it’s a good thing that I’m getting more productive than I ever thought. Getting paid is a bonus, too—but what makes it more exciting is that I get to practice rendering skills, depending on the medium used. (YAY FOR PRODUCTIVITY.)
Talk about office jobs. These days, I’m in search for a job that suits my interests—as well as something that I would enjoy. There are times that I’m content about my freelance job, but then again—I sense it’s more fun being in the office. Like, wait. ‘Guess I’m hell-bent in promoting the slogan “It’s more fun in the Philippines,” eh? HAHAHA. Just kidding.
Then, I just attended my high school pal Anice’s graduation party last April 30, 2012. Four years has been passed since my friends and I saw each other. I know we faced trials way back then—ranging from academic woes to personal issues, but high school has never been the same without these guys. (Thanks for the memories, guys. RAKENROLS~)

So, that’s all for today. CHEERS! :)

four years is not enough.

…and I just wish I could go back to being in college. But now, it’s time to search for a decent job that would fit my skills (despite having a part-time job).
Okay, college has been a rollercoaster ride—and at the same time, an unforgettable journey that lasted for four years. From rough sketches to giant canvas boards (not to mention, the friends I made in and out of the Beato Angelico), my life was never the same the first time I set my foot on the University of Santo Tomas campus.
I can still remember that one day in September 2007—it was the time when I took the UST entrance exam. It was also that day when the Growling Tigers lost to the Green Archers in a semi-finals game (that was Season 70, though—kapanahunan ‘to nina Jervy Cruz, Dylan Ababou, Japs Cuan, and the rest of the big men from the tiger pack)—so by the time I was taking the test, I was praying that the Growling Tigers would bring home the bacon. Then again—even though they were in the fourth place in men’s basketball that season, I have always been proud of these guys for enjoying a great game. (On a random note: Japs Cuan is now the assistant coach of the Tiger Cubs, while Dylan Ababou plays for the Ginebra Kings.)
Okay—let’s go to the entrance exam results. Months later, I got accepted in the advertising arts department of the College of Fine Arts and Design. Of course, I felt so happy about it—but a bit bummed about not having a slot in the communication arts department in the Faculty of Arts and Letters (which was my second choice). Despite my secret dreams to be an AB student, I decided to take advantage of my art skills and become a Thomasian artist (which was a dream come true when I graduated last March 26).
In the course of my four-year stay in CFAD, I learned a lot of things—which was beyond plates and other drawings. It was during these times when my life was filled with colour, adventure, and a bit of unexpected moments.

Yet, there are also instances when I felt I was at the lowest point. One of which is when my block was reprimanded by our professor because we didn’t read our books for that day’s lesson. The worst part here was these: we had to make a letter to him signed by our parents, the department head, the discipline coordinator, and the guidance counselor. Of course, we were so bummed about it—but good thing we didn’t get sued for this. In fact, most of us passed the subject—and even graduated with flying colours despite the incident. HAHAHA—cheers to us, ad2-kalan. :) (Not to mention, I just can’t believe we changed a lot since we were freshmen then. Plates and all that stuff, hahaha.)
There are also other unfortunate incidents that happened in the course of my college life—but then again, all of these add up to my unforgettable college experience. True enough, it has been the best four years of my life.
So, I’d like to thank everyone (ranging from ad2-kalan, 4ad6 stars, P.E. classmates, irregular classmates, the orgroom people, fellow 2012 CFAD batchmates, friends from other batches and colleges/faculties, and all my profs from frosh to senior year) who made my art student life easier than I ever thought. I know, being in CFAD is imbued with unending plates (take note: my fellows from the college of architecture said this!)—but that didn’t stop me to reach my greatest dream: to be an artist.
Then, I’m going to list down what I learned from art school:
  • Fine arts isn’t as easy as you think. If you think that fine arts is all about drawing and art stuff, think again. In my experience, there are instances when I had to cram my plates the night before the submission date. And, it’s not just that—I still had to take minor subjects (P.E. classes, literature, and the like) in order to supplement my stay in the University. In fact, these subjects aren’t offered for nothing! :P
  • In the field of advertising, there are many options to choose from. Advertising management, photography, fashion design, illustration—you name it. Not to mention, an advertising practitioner can also deal with marketing stuff (yes, this is the reason why we had to take up advertising practice classes).
  • Lastly, I learned how to look at things at a wider perspective. In college, I met lots of people who are exceptional in figure drawing, photography, advertising concepts, and other art-related stuff. Some of them became my friends, while others inspired me to do well in the field of art.
Oh, well. It’s been one hell of a ride, and I still can’t believe I have survived four years of college life. Now, as I plunge myself into corporate world, I’d like to post my graduation picture before I end this post.
CHEERS TO 2012 GRADUATES! Have a great vacation~ :)
P.S. Some of the photos used in this blog entry are from their respective owners. :)

Monday, March 12, 2012

I, Cloudybazookalove, am going to graduate this March.

…finally, after four years of unending plates (as what my friends from architecture say). And, since I’m in the middle of plate-less freedom, I’m planning to do underground work before I search for a job (or get into my part-time job). HAHAHA—talk about being “officially” unemployed for a short while.
So, I’ve been staring off some space for a few days now, and I’m feeling bored. Thank goodness there are so many forms of entertainment—whether on TV, radio, or off the ‘net—which inspire me to be in “artsy-fartsy” mode. Yet, these stuff aren’t enough; even the littlest things (read: happy thoughts, hanging out with friends, and other stuff) can sometimes make me tick. HAHAHA—I still need a few more tidbits of inspiration, though. :P
Okay, let’s move on to random stuff. First of all, I’m craving for food. Secondly, I want to go out to shoot pictures. And last (but not the least), I want to do art-related stuff (whether it’s a doodle, textile art, or painting…and the list goes on, hahaha).
Oh, well. Before I graduate this 26th (the exact date this month), here’s my former blockmate Geloy’s shot of my college building:
Well, that’s all for now. CHEERS TO 2012 GRADUATES. :)

isang malaking bagsak para sa akin.

Tama ang narinig ninyo. It’s like everything fell into place when I heard the jurors say that I passed my thesis defense. (THANK GOD I MADE IT THROUGH. And, I’m so thankful enough for my friends and family who supported me all the way.)
So, after almost eight months of research work, dyeing, cutting, and sewing cloth pieces and whatnot…I’M FREE—almost. I still have a few more subjects to pass before I graduate next month. And, I still wonder what comes after graduation—aside from going back to my part-time job and doodle random stuff from time to time. HAHAHA—speaking of which… XD
On the lighter side of things, I just feel like reprinting my book in order to let my friends sign on it before I graduate. I know, I spent too much cash on thesis stuff, but now I just want to show them how much I care—especially that those guys made me feel like I’m living a teenage dream (HAHAHA—yay for Katy Perry lyrics). Lifetimes may have spent worse ways than working on plates and stuff, but college prepares me to look forward to the next level: REAL LIFE. Yes—I still have a life to live, and there’s no reason for me to get stuck in the past for whatever reason. LOL—don’t ask. :)
Oh, well. There are so many things that I wanted to write down, but I guess I’ll just sum all these up in this photo:
English translation: To my family, kalan, stars, illUSTrados, and all my friends, thank you very much. (This is the dedication page in my illustrated book for my thesis, by the way.)
That's all for now. CHEERS.

Monday, February 6, 2012

hello, you. we meet again.

February is supposed to be the love month—and here I am, trying to love everything I did for thesis. HAHAHA.
Talk about thesis. I’m currently 100% endorsed—but I still have lots of things to do: PowerPoint presentation, practising thesis defense…all the baloneys. (Not to mention, getting broke. HAHAHA!)
Anyhow, I just want to write random stuff—since it’s been a long time. Thesis took its toll in my life—sleepless nights, non-stop sewing, and endless revisions. But after almost eight months of thesis-related stress, I guess it’s about time for me to practise defense—and it’s just only a week away. YES—one week away, to be exact. In short, a bloody Valentine for me (and to the rest of the 2012 batch—thanks to my batchmate, hahaha).
Oh, well. Here’s my current status in Facebook, which reminds me about thesis. Sure, there’s still a bit of tweaking and other stuff, but I need to be serious about what I did. (GOOD LUCK TO ME.)
For free hugs, I'm calling a supportive friend out there. You in? :P
Then, on an unrelated note, I edited an old photo and put a note in Harabara font. YAY FOR BOREDOM! XD
This work out of boredom is more fun in Harabara font. HAHAHA!
Okay, let’s go back to reality. In less than two months, I’m going to graduate. But first, I have to focus more on thesis defense and other school stuff. CHEERS.
P.S. You might wonder why I mentioned sewing in this blog entry. I didn’t take fashion design for my thesis—but despite this, I like to sew. (For more info, click here.)
P.P.S. Follow my new badoodle blog: Cloudy's "Bored" Art and Stuff. I'm going to post some of my boredom art there—whenever I feel like it. :)

I miss writing in a blog.

Because I had so much stuff to do (thesis, most probably), I don’t write so much here these days. Ganoon talaga ka-grabe ang hiatus ko rito—especially when I’m in the middle of my senior year. But hey—I missed writing in a blog!
Anyways, it’s semestral break these days—and I’m currently working on my thesis artwork. But for now, I just badly need a break (and wish for a KitKat—HAHAHA!).
Talk about blogs. Sometimes, I thought of changing blog sites (Tumblr, anyone?)—but then again, I realized that there’s no point in transferring to another place when there’s nothing wrong with it. In fact, I’ve been blogging since I was a sophomore in high school, and deleted some along the way—but since this is my third personal blog, I guess this would stay for as long as I wished. HAHAHA.
Then, there are personal issues—matters of the heart, to be exact. Even though six years have been passed since that certain person (whom I used to know since fourth grade) went away, I still haven’t really gotten over him (or at least, I’m trying to). Sometimes, I would remember those times (especially the craziest ones, lol) when I tried to get him to notice me. But later on—I would always tell myself that I’ve moved on, and the whole thing was over. Oh, well…he still has a place in my heart, though. *poker face*
Okay. Let’s scratch the paragraph before this one—for talking about that person just gets pointless in the end. As what I’ve said earlier, I’ve been out of school these days and working on my thesis. But as far as I have concerned—I passed all the subjects. THANK YOU, LORD—I made it through. Just one more sem to go and I’m off…hopefully.
...well, let's just hope for this to happen. HAHAHA.
‘Kays. That’s all for now. It’s midnight, and I need to take a rest. Or, get back to work? HAHAHA—have a good night! :)

hellogoodbye, part II.

'Nuff said. Nothing to expound more.
Yep, you got that right. Alam kong paulit-ulit ko itong sinasabi tungkol sa pagbabalik-eskwela ko, but that’s because it’s just a few days away before my senior year.
So, I ask myself: Am I ready for thesis? Am I ready to take the challenges of my senior year? And, lastly—am I ready to rock and roll? HAHAHA—tell me about it.

Okay. Three days to go. RAKENROLS NA TAYO, MGA PARE.
Cheers to 2011-2012. «

P.S. This will be my last hurrah before school comes around. Good luck to all of us, guys. :)

one week to go.

I feel you, thesisparta. And, my mind is currently on chaos.
Oh, well. I still have one week before I go back to my usual schedule: school, plates, and sleeping as late as 7am (no, I’m not kidding). WISH ME LUCK, GUYS. :)

Monday, May 23, 2011

so, I’m back to blogging after a very long time.

…and it’s all because of a part-time job. I even sacrificed my online hours just to finish my work—and to practice my rendering skills. It’s a good thing it paid off for a productive summer—and the upside here is, I get paid for every finished set. (Thanks to my high school classmate Jam for offering me a part-time job!)
Anyways, so the world did not end last Sunday morning (Saturday night, May 21, in California). It’s a good thing for all of us, because only God knows when this will exactly happen. In fact, the only reason why people make doomsday prophecies is they just want us to die. Or, they just have nothing to do with their lives. HAHAHA—some lame joke, indeed.
Oh, well. It’s two weeks before class starts—and I’m an incoming senior. Which means, I’ll be taking up thesis this coming school year. Yes, I SMELL THE WRATH OF THESISPARTA—and it’s coming right in front of me. I kind of miss my school life, though.
***
By the way, I’d like to greet my org friends, especially to Loli, Bricx, Odin, Yza, Annie, Chris, Willyboy, Mikhail, Clang, and Jobo.
Then, there are the fellows from 3ad2. You guys rock—and your laughter will be missed,
lalo na’t maghihiwalay tayo for thesis.
Then, there are my pals Arden, Tiarra, Leo, Halle, Giliane, Nikki-chan, Loui, Steph, Pamela, and some others who never fail to make me laugh despite being from different sections/year levels/courses/whatever.

I MISS YOU, GUYS.
I hope we’ll see each other soon. Cheerios.

P.S. Ice cream? :P

after a year of drama, suspense, and [insert genre here]…

…junior year has ended. It was the best year for me…YET! No words can explain how much I enjoyed the school year 2010-2011, and I still can’t get over how epic it went, although some of its scenes can be deleted (killer subject woes, anyone?) upon further notice. HAHAHA—like, seriously. XD
Anyways, it’s been almost three months since I last posted here. But since I shared so much about my junior year during the past year (click here for more info—and please refer to June-December 2010!), I guess all I have to do is to state what happened last January-March 2011. And, the rest—they say—is history.
  • January – so, what happened on this month is the quadricentennial celebration of my alma mater, the University of Santo Tomas. Of course, I took a lot of shots there—but since most are kind of crappy, I’ll just show you a number of outtakes from the event.
Preparing lechon for the Quadri Fiesta. KAINAN NA!Yay. We're all in this together in the quadricentennial celebration of our alma mater, the University of Santo Tomas. GO, USTe! :D
And, towards the end of the quadricentennial mass, I saw candlelights. Would you believe that a lot of people—students, alumni, and the like—participated here to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the University? It was that epic, I swear—I'm so damn proud to be a Thomasian at 400. :D
Medicine alumni, during the candlelight ceremony.
There are also other candlelight shots during the mass, too. (Click any of the two photos below for better viewing.)
And, before I forget—some shots during January 26-27. (Pardon me—I posted a few photos of the quadricentennial celebration because I'm choosy like that. HAHAHA!)
A stunning performance from the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management in front of St. Raymund's Building--and that was on the 26th of January. And, there's the Quattromondial, sculpted by Ramon Orlina. Not to mention--a lot of people went to its inauguration last January 27 because of Piolo Pascual, one of its models. HAHAHA--so much for fan service! XD
And, before I forget—a gratituous shot of me during the Q concert last January 27! Here's mine:
Pardon me for being a lion for tonight--but I just wanna say, "RAWR!"
  • February – this February 9, we had our epic finale—CIRQ REGAL: The Runway Spectacle. This fashion show, organized by our batch, was a blast. Yes, we experienced pre-fashion show stress—design revisions, paperwork, and whatnot—but it was all worth it. Anywho, here’s some from Cirq Regal:
Yes, I was part of the internal affairs committee of this event--and I'm proud of it.
Then, there are some shots of me, together with my pal Jennifer and her blockmates before the fashion show started. HAHAHA—something to de-stress myself during registration period! XD (Click any of these photos for better viewing.)
Then, during the fashion show, we witnessed different styles of clothing—ranging from mimes, dolls, freaks, wilds, illusionists, acrobats, clowns, and pyros. Cirq Regal was a total blast!
Then, on the 14th, I went to school just for teh lulz. Since it was the first day of thesis vacation week, I got so bored that I felt the need to spend some time shooting the architecture week parade (yes, it’s also the first day of architecture week)—and tag along with some of my pals (as well as meeting the new ones, hahaha).
There's Noctis and Tifa, on a motorcycle. (Yes, it's Final Fantasy XIII.)Then, there's a Dragon Ball Z float, with Gokou and other characters in it. KEWL BEANZ~There's also a Lord of the Rings float, too. What do you think, guys? :DOooh, a missile! Just watch out for this one~ :OThen, here's the parade of the great AR4-5. They were portraying Dragon Ball Z characters then, and they looked good in costumes! (The theme for this year's arki week is games-related, by the way.)And then, there's the Crash Bandicoot float. Reminds me of my late childhood, in which I used to play Crash Bandicoot games then. HAHAHA!Oooh. Look at me, two cats biting my cheeks! HAHAHA--cheers to Anel for the hat, and the Thomasian Nippon Sei for the cat plushies.
Then, last February 21-22, my block and I went on a retreat to Caleruega, Nasugbu, Batangas. We, together with blocks 3ad3 and 3ad4, had our spiritual experience there through some activities—and felt a sense of renewal as we got back home. Oh, the wonders of God…:D
This is a shot of me before we went home. Something for the memories, eh? :D
  • March – This is the last month of my junior year, in which we had to prove ourselves that we can survive the most crucial year…EVER. Yes, there is a lot of homework to do in a short span of time—but at least we made it just before the school year ended (which was last March 26). Then, there’s the vacation. YAY FOR VACATION! :D
Oh, well. I couldn’t believe I have made so many memories in the first three months of 2011—but I was that grateful enough to have experienced all these. I also made new friends in such a span of time, too—cheers to the following people:
  • Thomasian Nippon Sei guys and gals Anel, Francis, R’win, Hana, Niko…and the rest of the org (credits to Giliane and Sam—pati na rin si Emman from arnis class back in frosh year). Yes, I may not be a member of the said organization, but being with them made my Valentine’s Day that awesome. CHEERS, GUYS! :D
  • 3ad4 retreat groupmates Pau, Manel, Sam, Malou, and Chean (am I right?), for sharing experiences and whatnot during the retreat. We may not be close friends, but that made all the difference. THANKS, GUYS! :D
  • Information systems froshies Bim, Shane, Terence, Franz…and the rest of this block, which I met while waiting in front of the drug testing laboratory last March 10. You guys are so nice to be with—even in just a short span of time. :)
There are also other matters to be thankful of, like surviving what could have been a tragedy for us (read: Japan tsunami-quake, March 11)—and some other things like passing an exam. And, the best of all, I must be thankful to my family, classmates, friends, and of course, the LORD—for those happy memories I had this junior year.
So, I guess that’s the end of it, eh? I’ll just show you a picture of myself way back around June-July 2010. Anyways, CHEERS TO US THIS VACATION! :D
Proud to be a Thomasian at 400. Yes, that's who I am! :D

thank you 2010, but 2011 is coming up next.

HAHAHA. Talk about patterning my last words for 2010 from an ending line in the Super Mario games (which is, “Thank you, Mario—but the princess is in another castle!”). Not to mention, I just named one of my Facebook convos with a pal after that one, too! XD (That reminds me, I’m listening to Lady Gaga and Beyoncé’s “Telephone” in my head while watching K-ON!! when I wrote this.)
By the way, 2010 has been a blast. It was an emotional rollercoaster—ranging from lost phones to Friday photowalks, and fashion shows to plates-related drama. But, the good thing about this year is that I got to meet (and spend time) with the most awesome guys and gals I’ve ever seen—whether they’re my classmates in track and field (which was way back from the second semester of my sophie year) or they’re just strangers I’ve met from my photo walks. (HAHAHA—by the way, having photo walks is one of the perks of taking up photography subjects.)
Okay, so let’s first have a recap of what happened during 2010.
  • January – nothing much happened; I focused on plates and other academic stuff. NEXT!
  • February – I lost my phone in school last February 3. But on the 24th, my batch watched the fashion show—which was themed “YEAR ZERO: Apocalypse Recoutured.” Of course, I had a blast with friends—not to mention, seeing awesome clothing styles (although some are way off, hahaha).
  • March – on this month, my sophie year ended with a bit of uncertainty. Still, the best part here is that I get to spend my last P.E. days with my fellows from the track and field (Nixie, Jin, Marione, Nico, Khervin, Keem, Kat, Dan Ray, Pache, Ivana, and Ma’am Apolonia, of course!).
Then, there’s a comic book seminar at the Tan Yan Kee building last March 5. YAY FOR SHOWING SOME ORGROOM LOVE—especially to our guest speakers Lyndon Gregorio and Andrew Villar.
There’s one more thing: after all the drama we experienced during our sophomore year (adprac3, anyone?), my blockies went to Missionaries of Charity in Tayuman last March 26. YAY FOR SHOWING SOME LOVE FOR THE LESS UNFORTUNATE! :D
  • April – since it was summer season, I did nothing but to doodle and stay in front of the computer, of course. HAHAHA—but I still had time to watch TV and sleep a lot! XD
  • May – it was the election month for all of us Filipinos. Sad to say, I did not vote despite being in legal age (I was 19 then; one is eligible to vote at the age of 18).
  • June – it was the start of my junior year. New subjects, new adventure—everything except my blockmates (unless if you’re an irregular). And, since I’m taking up photography classes, I started having photo walks around the campus.
The bad thing about this month is, I had my bag slashed—and lost my all-new phone (actually, it was just two weeks old!) while on my way to school one fine day. (Not to mention, it was a Wednesday when it happened. HAHAHA!)
  • July – nothing really much happened on this month, but I joined two orgs—Illustrator’s Guild of the University of Santo Tomas (actually, I’m part of it since my frosh year) and i.Obscura Photography Organization (for the love of photography).
On the other hand, the last Friday of this month was the best day for me—aside from shooting my heart out, I even got to mingle with new people—especially with the CA seniors (who were taking photography class at the botanical garden then). GRABE—todo-enjoy pa nga ako rito, eh! :D
  • August – still nothing; more plates and other stuff came my way—except for my turning twenty and meeting some more people, especially during photo walks. Ayun lang—NEXT!
  • September – first things first, there was illUST general assembly last September 3. Advertising arts alumni (and the bearers of the best thesis titles during their graduating years) Lee Batula and Jei Marcelino were guest speakers then, and my org pals and I had a great time. Not to mention, I even got to see my orgmate Clang perform onstage! HAHAHA—how’s that for bloody awesomeness, eh? (And, yeah—I was quoting her. She’s bloody awesome, and I’m serious about that.)
  • October – that’s when I ended the first semester of my junior year with a bang. But before that, my block, together with Ma’am Carrie (adprac4 professor), went to Nido Fortified Science Discovery Center last October 2 for the Dawn of the Space Age activity. YAY FOR GOING BACK TO BEING KIDS! :D
  • November – this month was undoubtedly one of the best months I ever had this year—ranging from giving gift art to my pals (cheers to Ate Yema and Arden!) to making the most of my college week despite the boredom I experienced all throughout the week (cheers to the orgmateys and some other guys—especially to Arden [engineering sophomore] and CFAD alumni Joseph [he’s also my high school buddy, too] and Ma’am Chanty [of Cross PolyNation] for making my “boredom” week one of the best days of my life). On the other hand—since the second semester of my junior year started this month, I got to face the wrath of my terror professor—in fact, he has a good side; he could even joke around with us, too! :D
  • December – ‘tis the season to be jolly! I had a blast with my blockies at the field last December 16—and we went hippie (HAHAHA—we really brought back Woodstock!). Then the next day, I attended Paskuhan for the second time (yes, you heard me right—it was my second time!), and enjoyed the night with my orgmates despite the boredom I experienced. Not to mention—my second time would have been an epic one if I got to see Pupil and Kamikazee perform onstage and had witnessed the fireworks that midnight. HAHAHA. Sa uulitin na lang, guys! :D
Oh, well. These were really the best days of 2010—for me. In fact, as the closing of the year is fast approaching, I realize that I got to strike a balance between studies and social life (although I’m much more of an introvert, hahaha). It’s just that I still have to focus more on studies—especially that I’m about to go on thesis mode next school year—since I tend to procrastinate at times.
Okay, let’s move on to the credits part. First of all, I would like to thank the Lord for all the blessings I had throughout the year. He never left my side despite the trials and tribulations I had—and no matter what happens, I will always hold on to Him. Again, THANK YOU—and I praise You for everything! ♥
Secondly, I would like to thank my family for utmost support—and for the times they never gave up on me despite all the ups and downs I experienced all throughout the year. Yes, we may not be in good terms sometimes, but you always respected my decision to become a better person. Again, THANK YOU—and I love you all! ♥
Thirdly, I would like to thank my blockmates (3ad-2) for all the support you had for my efforts. Even though we aren’t that close, you will always be my blockmates no matter what. Anyways, let’s just make the most of it, since this would be the last semester that we stay together as one family. Again, THANK YOU, GUYS. ♥
Then, there’s the orgroom people—whom I have spent most of my free time for three years now. I would like to thank you for making me feel welcomed despite all the plates-related drama I had. We may have different class schedules, but spending time with you guys at the orgroom is priceless. OUR MEMORIES WILL FOREVER BE CHERISHED, DUDES AND DUDETTES! ♥ (Not to mention—I hope our orgmatey Jojo goes back to the Philippines with buckets of snow in his luggage next month. HAHAHA!)
I would also like to thank some others, too—and here’s the list:
  • To my fellow irregulars (Kuya Royce, Centz, Ate Ken, Gen, Flerika, Cholo, Lloyd, Rane, Kliff, Tseri, Bernie, Yuriko, and others), thanks for being such good classmates, even in just one semester. We may only meet once in a blue moon, but being with you guys added spice in my college life. (Come to think of it—KUYA ROY, I’M STILL WAITING FOR YOUR DEBTS. You have to pay me—first thing in the year 2011!)
  • To my professors (Ma’am Carrie, Ma’am Jing, Sir Barrameda, Sir Deon, and a lot more), thank you so much for the inspiration. If not for you, I wouldn’t make it so far—even if it meant staying up late and making the most of my free days. CHEERS TO ALL OF YOU! :D
  • To my former classmates and schoolmates (especially Pam, Steph T., Kaye, Chiara, Mara, Sheng, and Nikki), cheers to you. We rarely see each other in campus (or none at all, hahaha), but you guys never fail to make my day despite schedule differences (let alone being in different colleges). STAY SAFE, GUYS. :D
  • To my classmates in track and field (most especially Nixie, Jin, Marione, Khervin, Nico, Dan, Kat, Pache, and Keem), thank you for making my last P.E. class that epic. YOU GUYS ARE REALLY THE BEST P.E.-MATES I EVER HAD. Cheers to ya, guys~ :D
  • To my other fellows from CFAD (Halle, Leo, Rei, Nyanne, Kristina, Giliane, Jam, Sandy, Loui, and some others), thanks for being such good listeners. We may not always get to bond every day, but you never fail to give sunshine. LET’S ROCK AND ROLL, GUYS! :D
  • To my workmates (Bea S., Jovie, Ara, Feitan, Hazel, and some others)—our bonding will always be cherished, no matter how hard our job is. Together—we (together with the batchmates) are gonna make this project possible this February 9. CHEERS TO YA, GUYS! :D
  • To the new pals I’ve met halfway (especially Arden, MKay, Tonette, Willyboy, Kathlene, Christine, and Jen), you guys rocked my socks. We only met just this year, but it’s never too late for us to get to know more about each other. YAY FOR YOU, DUDES! :D
  • And, lastly—to the random people I meet every day (especially Ate Yema and the guys I met in my photo walks—such as the CA seniors, psych froshies, AB Econ froshies Joyce, Joel, and her blockies…and some others), thank you for making my day. Even though we only met once, you guys helped me push through with my plateys (and other matters, too). THANK YOU, GUYS! :D
WHOA. I just couldn’t believe how time flew so fast. In just a few moments, we’re going to welcome the year 2011. So, for those who are going to use pyrotechnics this New Year’s Eve, I hope you guys stay safe. Huwag lang sana kayo maputulan ng kamay, please! HAHAHA. HAPPY NEW YEAR, GUYS! «

Christmas may be about cold weather, but I’m full of sunshine.

The past week was a blast—especially last December 16-17. It was full of awesomeness and delight—cheers to my blockmates, orgmates, and a bunch of pals.
First, I would like to share what happened last December 16, 2010. We celebrated our block’s Christmas party at the football field—which we called it the “Busneker Night.” On that night, every one of us wore our hippie outfits and enjoyed so much until the music stopped. (Yes, we had background music—thanks to practicing dancers! By the way, I’m gonna show you some photos from the party.)
This is me, before the party started.
Then, there are shots of me, together with blockies M.C. (left shot) and Mimi (right shot).
There's a stolen shot of me taking a picture. Cheers to Ina D!
Hey, it's Ate Ken lying down. I'm pretty sure she's enjoying the night, eh?
Then, there's Ken and Geloy on their harana session. Gotta rock n' roll with these guys!
Eating time, dudes! YAY FOR POT LUCK~
My blockmates were all smiles while eating dinner. NOW, THAT'S COOL!
We also had games, too. First, we had charades—in which we should guess the title of the movie that was acted out by our group representatives (we were divided into two groups). Then, we did the sack race, and the limbo rock (in which we called it the "Libingborak").
There's Keisha, during the sack race.
Then, there's Mimi, during the Libingborak.
Oh, no! Somebody help Vanessa with the Libingborak...or else! HAHAHA.
We also had jump shots of our blockmates...
My jump shots of Vanessa and Kookoo. Whadyathinks...? HAHAHA.
Oh, I also have a jump shot, too! (Thanks, Thea.)
...and for the epic finale, we had the jamming session—together with Geloy and Ate Ken. ROCK N' ROLL!
Yay for jamming sessions--cheers to Geloy and Ate Ken! MOAR SONGS PLZ~
Oh—I almost forgot. The group shots during the party!
Geloy, Gieram, Vanessa, and Ken--all in hippie outfits.
Then, there's Isai, Kimoy, Ddth, Tseri, Bea, and Pris during dinnertime.
Then the next day, it was the Paskuhan night together with my orgmates—and a bunch of friends, too. I could say that this was one of the epic nights this 2010—because I had so much fun with them, even though all we did was to eat and exchange chit-chats. HAHAHA. Here are a few photos I’m going to show you:
A shot of me during the Paskuhan. Cheers to the Willyboy himself!
Then, a shot of Willyboy, Loli, and Yza finding happiness in cute things.
Then, there's Annie, wearing a cute hat. This cute hat is owned by our pal Chris's little brother!
And, there's the Willyboy in his most "professional" pose. YAY FOR DOCUMENTATION!
Oh, there's Yuriko. She's pretty this Paskuhan night!
I also have a few shots from the program itself, too. Here's some:
There's a sleigh during the parade. So cool, eh?
And, there's a concert in the grandstand. I don't know what band was performing during that time, but I'm pretty sure a lot of Thomasians enjoyed watching them perform.
Oh, there's the Beato Angelico Building during the Paskuhan! So pretty to look at.
I may not have witnessed the fireworks nor watched Pupil and Kamikazee perform live, but a night with orgroom people had been a blast. (THANKS SO MUCH, GUYS—no matter what happens, you will always be my highlight of the day. ♥)
Oh, well. There are still a lot of stories to share that happened aside from the events mentioned above, like the following:
  • I got my first Starbucks planner last December 16—thanks to my frequent trips there and giving coffee treats to my brothers and my pal Halle. And yes, splurging for coffee (and tea) is so worth it. HAHAHA. :D By the way, I’m going to show you one of my doodles from the planner:
A Christmas-themed doodle, dated today. By the way, it's five days before Christmas!
  • I gave gifts to my good ol’ pals—cheers to orgroom loves Bricx, Yza, Tonette, MKay, Kat, Willyboy, Sid, Odin, Ivan, Clang, Annie, Loli, and Pilar, and to my classmates Kim and Tseri—all of them received a charm (or a key chain) from me during the past week. On the other hand, my friend Leo gave me a bottle of perfume while I was talking to Halle, Nixie, and Clang last December 16. YAY FOR FRUITY SCENT! :D
  • And, the best thing that happened to me is, I enjoyed so much during the first few months of second semester. I know this isn’t related to this post, but it was a whirlwind of emotions during the past months—ranging from failing marks (adprac5, anyone?) to plates-related stress. But then again, what mattered most here is how I survived on that period—I even had LOL-worthy moments along the way! XD Anyways, I’d like to share my former status in Facebook, which went like this:
My Facebook status, dated November 29, 2010. Cheers to my pals Arden and Stephie for the feedback!
Okay. Before I end this blog post, I would like to share a message from a very approachable fellow from the orgroom. Here goes:
This is my orgmate Eko's doodle, with a message that says, "PAG-IBIG NGAYONG PASKO!" Approachable much? XD
HAHAHA. Don’t worry about the picture above; there will always be good vibes coming up. Stay cool this Christmas, guys! HAPPY HOLIDAYS~ :D
