how my first two weeks of second semester went.

So, CFAD Week (a.k.a. the BOREDOM Week) is finally over. Aside from plate exhibits and a little of entertainment, nothing happened at all. It’s just that being with orgroom friends (and a handful of others, too) made the week memorable—even though it meant mindless babbling about the randomness of things. (Thanks so much, guys!)
Okay, fine. I know this year’s CFAD Week majorly sucked, but at least I enjoyed a least bit. In fact, the first two weeks of second semester (CFAD Week included) involved a lot of boredom, given that almost all of my classes are peppered with orientations (if the professor is around) and oh-so-long waits (which can last for at least an hour, depending on the length of class). Because of these, I get to spend most of my free time in the orgroom—and doodle my heart away. (Check out my newest deviations by clicking here!)
The first two Fridays of second semester are what I considered “gift art days”—but I’d really like to show you my rendition of Ate Yema (Kathryn Kaye Carpio in real life). A nursing graduate since 2008, she’s known for selling sweets (yema, pastillas, cookies, food for the gods, and the so-called “special” polvoron) around the campus. Out of admiration for her, I did this piece during the semestral break—and by the time I saw her last November 12 (the first Friday of the second semester), I gave it to her. She even gave me free pastillas for that one! (Thanks so much, Ate Kaye!)
If you want to know more about Ate Yema, go like her Facebook fan page by clicking here. She has around 6,000 fans and still counting, by the way.
This is my rendition of Ate Yema. Done using watercolours and Uni-Pin tips.
Then, on the second Friday (which was the third day of CFAD Week), I had another gift art to my pal Arden. In fact—this gift art has the same content as the print I gave him last October 15 (the second-to-the-last day of first semester). But this time, it was the visual audit itself, enclosed on a short brown envelope sealed with coloured band-aids and a doodle. (For more info about the artwork, click here.)
This artwork is used as my visual audit for my package design1 prelims. But later on, I gave this to Arden for a friendly thanks. :)
There are also instances when I had to attend to other matters, like the fashion show. Since this would be a main event next year, my batch is currently working on this one. Yes, the past fashion shows (YEAR ZERO included) were a blast—but we were expected to do better, for this would be the last one my course is going to hold.
So, I guess this would be the end for now. Good night, pals! :)
P.S. Christmas is coming around in a month. Do you have any plans for this season? HAHAHA. Cheers, guys. :)
