ramblings before my second decade.

I’m currently waiting for my groupmates’ email (not to mention, I’m 75% done with the PowerPoint presentation), but since they’re in the middle of photoshoots, the only thing left for me to do is to spill my “rotten” guts out. Oh, well—that’s how boredom works for me.
A few days ago, my friend Steph tagged me via DeviantArt, telling me to share ten random things about me. Maybe I have so many things to share in this list, but I’ll just tell you some. Here goes:
  1. I’m no fan of Justin Bieber. I have heard some of his songs and I know that he sings well, but I just couldn’t seem to understand why people are so into him.
  2. I’d rather do mash-up work when it comes to fan art. It’s way better than having one character or group at a time. HAHAHA. (Hey, what about seeing myself in a pool of characters—ranging from Katy Perry to Kurosaki Ichigo? I did it in one of my plateys!)
  3. Just seeing a Greenwich Bigatin Pizza ad has its pros and cons—in my case. HAHAHA. I know this is out of too much fangirling on one of the Smart-Gilas ballers featured there, so there are times that I feel disturbed—and happy at the same time while looking at it. But since Chris Tiu was there (of course, this ex-Blue Eagle captain is the lead man among the ballers), I may have considered it as comic relief for some weird reason. Never mind if he’s the heartthrob among the pack; after all, he has a lot of endorsements and hostings.
  4. If I’m going to choose my nationality, I’d rather be Japanese. For that, I’d eat my heart out, seeing Harajuku girls and cosplayers in the land of the rising sun. (Maybe I should practice Zen Buddhism—it’s about serenity and enlightenment. HAHAHA.)
  5. I idolize weirdly-dressed people—ranging from drag queens to circus-inspired dresses. Sometimes, I wish I’m on their shoes, being ogled by random people around. HAHAHA. Lady Gaga much?
  6. I always say college basketball is overrated, but I watch them—especially if the Growling Tigers are on battle mode. Sometimes, I watch random matches for the kicks of it. (Oh, well. FEU Tamaraw R.R. Garcia for the Season 73 MVP title. Still, I’ll cheer for you, Thomasian ballers!)
  7. I want to be a Loli girl for a day. Or better yet, work in a maid café. But for the meantime, I’d be content looking at these pictures because I want to. Besides, I’d be better off channeling a mori girl—while listening to upbeat songs. (Refer to number 5.)
  8. I find inspiration in almost everything—ranging from cartoon pranks to cheesy mellow songs. But I find some of them rather iconic, like Cherie Gil’s line in a certain movie: “You’re nothing but a second-rate, trying-hard…COPYCAT!” And, of course—who doesn’t forget the legendary yema lady whenever she struts around the campus, selling large amounts of sweet merchandise? HAHAHA.
  9. I do funny faces countess of times, just because. Damn, I may be promoting insanity when I’m at it—but in fact, this makes me happier. :D
  10. I’m turning twenty in a few days, but my mind doesn’t want to grow up. HAHAHA. Yes, I’m an art student who finds joy and sorrow in making plates, but I still find time in relaxation…and kiddie/gay/whatever stuff. Don’t ask why.
Oh, well. That’s all for the list. I know this survey is a cliffhanger, but this one’s worth sharing. As for my turning twenty in a few days, I feel like I’m not ready for it. I wanted to freeze time and go back to the days when I feel I was at my best (and my craziest, hahaha)—but then again, I just have to accept that once we move forward to the next level, there’s no turning back. Life goes on, so there’s no reason to be bitter about the past. (Come to think of it, I’m currently hooked on Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream.” I so totally like this song, after her “California Gurls”—I can even relate to it!)
Okays. Goodnight, everybody. I hope you guys enjoyed the day.
P.S. Later this afternoon, it will be a basketball rumble between the UST Growling Tigers and the UP Fighting Maroons. I know the latter are winless, but let’s just see if they could bring home the bacon. HAHAHA. I’d still cheer for the El Tomasino squad, so let’s GO, USTe! :D
