part two of wishlists and other rambles.
• a solo trip to Japan – because I want to! HAHAHAHAHAHA. Actually, I want to experience the Japanese lifestyle—Zen Buddhism and all that. (Anime, manga, cosplay, geek stuff? They’re also included in that list—it happened that they only belong to the otaku subculture in Japan.)
• going to a cosplay convention – okay, this one is just for kicks. I always dreamed of being there to see cosplayers in person. :D
• wearing a Lolita-inspired outfit – just for kicks, too! Not to mention, I want to wear decora outfits—they’re so colorful.
• studying Japanese language – it’s the first step before going to Japan. (Of course, why not?) As of today, I like watching subtitled anime shows—one of them is Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, which airs every Friday, 8:30pm, on Animax.
• taking a sip of Starbucks coffee – I’ve never experienced this one. The thought of being at Starbucks and staying there for hours while sipping a cup of frap made me think that I should try that, even just once.
• making an online portfolio – where I could put my plates to a very good place. As of now, I upload them on Facebook, but I still wish to have an online compilation. Like, I want a SERIOUS online portfolio for my damn old plateys, puh-leaze!
• a tutorial on web page designing – this is in line with the former. HAHAHA. Just for kicks, I guess—even though I know a thing or two about tinkering with cascading style sheets.
• taking up a second course – literature, maybe? Haha—I just thought of that. If ever I wanted to take up that course, I’d like to study in UP or Ateneo.
• meeting my Prince Charming – say what? This is not part of my wishlist. I just put this to say that this wish is an overrated one, since so many girls—especially the younger ones—put this as one of their wishes.
Well, anyways. I think this ends my wishlist for today. If you want to see more of this, click here.
It’s already 49 days before Christmas and I still haven’t done serious work. Christmas-related artwork, to be exact. But if that’s any consolation, I got to spend almost two weeks of semestral break—in a productive way, at least. Even though there were times that I laze myself in front of the computer, typing whatever’s on my cluttered mind. (That’s why I have a Twitter account! Click here if you want to follow me.) And I was thinking…if I’m going to watch subtitled anime on YouTube. Pasensya na kung hindi ko na masundan ang Bleach—I stopped at episode 90 and groaned over the fact that some of its episodes are deleted there. ‘Guess I was too late—the only ones there are already at 200-something. :(
Maybe I should try watching Toradora! Wala lang—my orgmate J.P. told me one day that this is an awesome anime to watch. I don’t know if this is still available on YouTube—but I hope so.
Well…that’s off the cliff. Gotta blast!
