second year, first sem—nearing the end of regulation.

Oh, yeah. Tell me about it—especially when I think that feeling like an outsider is so much fun than being part of the block. Not to mention, I’m on the brink of being an irregular student, thanks to my near-failing grades in some of my subjects.
Imagine this. You are a member of the dean’s list since the first semester of your freshman year, and you do very well in most of your subjects though you find the minors boring. And now that you’re a sophomore, your grades are slipping, slipping away…until you’ve come to the point that you get the dreaded grade of five. Yes, five, as in numero cinco in Spanish. In order to take it away from your oh-so-clean records, you have to take that class again. In short, you are going to be considered an irregular student.
Well, anyways. I’m already expecting that. LOL’s.
Kidding aside, the first semester of my sophomore year is about to end. So many things happened—I’ve got to meet lots of new people from different backgrounds—particularly Kuya Roy, Vincent, Kristin, Kuya Bry, Ate Anna, Alvin, Ate Ken, Loida, Gabana, Remo, Mako, Delle, Jec, Paola, Royce, Pam, Bry S., Fer, Yokal, Giliane, Mars…a lot of them. (Find your name here! LOL’s. Clue: some of them are my irregular classmates, others are my social dance mateys, and of course, the rest are my orgmates.) I may have lost contact to my then favorite irregular mateys Giles and Kaye (although I have their numbers in the list), but at least these dudes spruced up my oh-so-boring college life. Not to mention, I’ve got to meet a new set of professors (although Sir Mañago’s among them)—and speaking of which, I’m going to miss having conversations with Sir Tieng about the UAAP senior basketball players on a short break during our AdPrac2 class. Arigatou gozaimasu, minna-san~
On the other hand, I just got from Vee’s house earlier this afternoon. My block had our overnight meeting starting yesterday for the inter-block competition this coming Saturday. Upon going home, I should have done it earlier with the other blockmates, yet I was too focused on finishing my HAr1 finals. Still, I went home safe and sound, even if it meant hiring somebody to take me to the Bicutan station—in such a demanding way. Talk about resurgence of my trademark bad behavior during my early days. HARHARHAR.
Okay, dudes. I’ve got to go—I have to study for our AdPrac2 finals.
P.S. For those who are affected by Ondoy and Pepeng’s wrath weeks ago, I hope these guys are back on their feet. For those who are taking the final exam, God bless them in order to pass. And for those who are now enjoying the break…I hope they will have time to reflect on what they have done in the past semester.
