summer vacation ≠ BUM.
Last week (starting from Holy Tuesday to Black Saturday), I didn’t use the computer nor log in to my accounts. I also turned off my phone last Wednesday—and it was in the midnight of Easter Sunday when I checked it again. No phone calls or text messages—nothing at all. After all, I’m not the kind of person who contacts my classmates or friends for no reason (except that I sometimes send them jokes or quotes).
Well, anyways. I did these because it’s my way of fasting. And during that time, I remembered the days when we didn’t have a computer (it was when typhoon Ondoy struck our home)—and the only way to compensate our surfing needs was through going to a nearby Internet café. But that’s a different story—not to mention, I even thought about the times that people lived without electronic gadgets in the past. True enough—today’s generation revolves around modern technology in the form of cellular phones and the Internet.
I’m not saying that I’m against modern technology—in fact, I even embraced it. Yet, we should know how to use it wisely, for these are beneficial in so many ways. They may be of big help when it comes to entertainment, education, and contacts, but it’s different when we do it the traditional way.
Let’s move on. Clearance day will be on April 8, so there are three more days to wait for the results this second semester. Also, since I’m going to take photography classes next school year, I’m thinking of purchasing a Nikon or an Olympus camera. In my opinion, they are both good camera brands to start with, but once I get my hands on either one of them, I would be glad to use it to my advantage. (I’ll name it Bazooka Starbomb—Baz for short.)
That’s all for today. Happy vacation!
