sophomore year is finally (and officially) closed.

Okay. I’m done with all my subjects. Now, I’m waiting for the results to come.
Speaking of the results, I don’t know if I’m going to pass or fail in one or two minor subjects. Everything seemed uncertain this second semester—I have failed some of my major exams, and because of this, I tried some ways to make up for it. (I just hope these will work. HAHAHAHA.)
Anyways, let’s just look at the brighter side of things—sharing a lot of memories I had during the past semester. First, I’d like to thank the following people: 2ad-2 guys and gals (even though we could only bond through schoolwork), TFC2 kids (especially Nixie, Jin, Marione, Nico, Khervin, and the rest of my mateys there), my org pals, and a handful of buds I got to know during the semester (e.g. Gen, Flerika, Cholo, Lloyd, Rane, Kliff, and the like).
Then, I’ll tell you what happened during the past semester. One day (I think it was December or January), my block had a class picture-taking. Of course, I was there, but I just wished to be with my 1ad-1 pals after that. (HAHAHA. Wishful thinking!)
We are the adver-2. Formal kami, tapos wacky! Thanks to Red Photography.
Then last March 5, 2010, I attended a cartooning seminar with my org pals at Room 401, Tan Yan Kee Building. I didn’t get to see Hazel Manzano of Callwork fame, but the upside here is I had a great time with cartoonists Lyndon Gregorio and Andrew Villar. I also learned a lot about cartooning from these guys. Here are the photos:
'Formal' shot with Lyndon Gregorio and Andrew Villar. Si Ivan yata ang nag-picture nito!Heto ang jump shot. Si Brikko naman ang nag-picture nito. These are the autographs of Andrew Villar and Lyndon Gregorio, respectively. The latter even doodled me!This is the cover of an Ambush comic, which I got from the seminar. Thanks to Andrew Villar--this one's worth it!
Then, during the first three Tuesdays of March 2010, we had track and field finals. Last March 2, we had a relay race. Our team (comprised of Marione, Nico, Khervin, Nixie, Jin, and me) may be a bit slow, but at least we had fun. Then, the next Tuesday (March 9), we had the long jump. Before our activity, my mates hammed up in front of the camera (courtesy of Jin). Here are the photos:
Nico and Khervin, the CRS people. There's a Nico Amorado sandwich! Ingredients: Jin, Khervin, and Nico, of course. Then there's Jin and Khervin. Wala lang--buddy-buddy lang po ito!Tapos, heto kami ni Jin. I didn't know I had a picture with her! HAHAHAHA.These are the 1ad-1 people, comprised of Jin, Andie, Debbie, and Nixie. Si Nixie naman, nakatalikod. HAHAHAHA.
Then there are pictures that have "I LOVE YOU, MARIONE!" written over them.
Here's Nixie, hugging Marione.Tapos, si Jin naman. Wala lang! Then there's another shot of Jin and Marione at the swing. Cute, 'noh?
Then there are stolen shots. Click any of these photos for a better view. (Credits to Jin!)
Our very last meeting (March 16) was the throwing part. While I was throwing with my mates Ivana and Kat, I thought that day was boring. Yet, I felt blessed, for this was the very last time of attending my P.E. classes. Not to mention, I even got to say goodbye to the following people: Marione, Nico, Khervin, Pache, Akira, Kat, and of course, Ms. Apolonia (my P.E. prof for at least one year now).
There’s more. Last March 23, 2010, Gen, Cholo, and I had a meeting in Gen’s house for our adprac3 finals (while Lloyd and Myk contacted us through Yahoo! Messenger). Later on, Flerika joined us before we had lunch. An hour later, Vanessa joined the fun. We came up with a lot of ideas for our Globe ads, but it was Flerika and Cholo who made the day memorable for all of us. Anyways, I’ll show you a photo of Flerika and Cholo wearing Gen’s curly wig with bangs wigs. (Sorry, guys. Ito lang ang nakuha ko—wala pa kasi ‘yung kay Cholo. Medyo late na ito, but I'll show you these. Special thanks to Ate Flerika!)
Here's Flerika and Cholo, wearing Gen's wigs. Flerika wears a curly wig with bangs, while Cholo goes for a long, straight one.
We may have experienced a lot of failures regarding our Y!M conference the following night, but in the end, our reporting was a success.
Then lastly, my block went to Missionaries of Charity Formation Home in Tayuman last March 26 to share some love. We may not have the chance to set up a presentation for the orphans, but at least we donated. For me, this was sure to cheer them up.
Well…that’s all for today. For now (today’s Holy Week), let’s reflect on the things we have done before we make the most of the vacation. Stay cool!
